Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a joyful Christmas, holiday season, and found time to rest, recharge, and share meaningful moments with family and friends. As we return to campus, we’re excited to begin the second half of the school year. The start of a new semester gives students a natural opportunity for reflection, renewed focus, and a fresh start. Semester 2 offers students the opportunity to put their best foot forward, set new goals, and continue growing as confident, engaged learners.

Looking ahead, the months to come are filled with enriching programming and meaningful experiences that support the development of the whole student. In February, we will welcome our WCEA Accreditation Team for our six-year visit. This is a chance to celebrate the strength of our academic program, the rigor of our instruction, and the vibrant sense of community that defines Holy Names, while also reflecting thoughtfully on how we can continue to grow and improve.

Semester 2 kicks off on January 12, offering students a fresh start and renewed momentum. This is a great opportunity for goal-setting, reflection, and starting with a blank slate! Parents, please encourage your students to reflect upon ways in which they can improve their study habits for this new semester. What worked for them last semester? What did not? What changes in habit may be necessary? Our teachers will be encouraging students to consider these questions and more as we officially begin the semester.

Although the school will be closed for the holiday break, the Admissions Office will be available to assist families. Please contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns over the holiday break.

The Admissions office will be closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas, New Years Eve & New Years Day.

Classroom Matters and Holy Names High School are teaming up once again to bring you a high-quality HSPT preparation workshop!

This 3.5 hour workshop will help students gain familiarity with the test, introduce them to test-taking strategies, and review practice problems with answer explanations.

Our Student Club Fair was Wednesday September 17! During the Club Fair each student club had a table with club details, goals, schedule, and more. Each Club had a table board showcasing what they are all about! Students got the information from Club members, and signed-up for clubs they wanted to join.

All student clubs are student-driven! If students are interested in starting a new club, they should stop by Ms. Ankobia’s office to talk about the proposal steps.

We want all Holy Names students to participate in a Club. It is a great way to make friends, have fun, and participate in our community in a way that aligns with our Integral Student Outcomes!
