Step-by-Step Admissions Guide

This guide will walk you through the admissions process step-by-step, from gathering required documents to submitting your application. Our admissions process is designed to give us a comprehensive understanding of who you are as a student and as an individual. Step 1: Finalsite Inquiry Form

Visit the FinalSite Enrollment Portal and create an account. (If you already have an account, log in using your username and password)

Select "Catholic Schools of the East Bay" as the primary school search area in the Shared Admissions Portal
Complete the Student, Household and Parent Information pages.

Select Holy Names High School from the list of East Bay Catholic schools on FinalSite's Explore Schools page.

Step 2: Register for Holy Names Admissions Events via the Inquiry Form

Step 3: Complete an Application

The application period opens September 2, 2024
Select Holy Names High School from the list of East Bay Catholic schools on FinalSite's Explore Schools page.

Click 'APPLY NOW' in the top right corner of the Holy Names page

Follow the prompts to complete your application and you will be directed to complete required Checklist items.
Many Checklist items such as recommendation forms and transcript release documents can be shared to all of the East Bay Catholic Schools listed on FinalSite's Explore Schools page.
Early Application Deadline: December 13, 2024 (Save $50 on your application fee!)
Final Application Deadline: January 8, 2025

Step 4: Register for High School Placement Test (HSPT)

All applicants must register for the HSPT by January 7, 2025

Students applying to multiple schools are only required to register for the HSPT once.

Applicants may take the HSPT at any of the nine Oakland Diocese Catholic secondary schools to which they have applied
Extended time & Learning Differences: Students with extended time will be given time and a half to complete the HSPT exam.

Step 5: Apply for Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

Step 6: Admissions Decisions and Enrollment

Admissions decisions will be sent by email and US mail on March 21, 2025.
We are here to help with any questions you may have about the registration process. Our Admissions team will be available for decision support on Saturday, March 22 when the registration window opens.
Students who register by the Early Registration Deadline (March 24) will receive a discount on the registration fee.
All students must register by the Final Registration (March 28).
