Introduction to Television Broadcasting

(Grades 10, 11, 12) Throughout this one-year course, students will be utilizing critical thinking and interpersonal skills to develop and produce video-based projects. Students gain a thorough introduction and understanding of television and video production, including studio, control room, and field production equipment operation and procedures. Students will develop hands-on skills in all three phases of production, including 1. Pre-Production: producing, planning, and writing. 2. Production: field location and studio shooting. Post-Production: editing and distribution. Also, students will be introduced to Professional Industry- Standard editing software platforms: Adobe Suite/Adobe Premier Pro.
