The Value of a Holy Names High School Education

We believe in rewarding hard work and ensuring that no student’s financial situation impacts access to an exceptional education. An investment in a young woman’s education is an investment in her future. We understand that education is a priority and that the value of a Holy Names education is enduring.

Tuition

Tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year is $23,425. Tuition plans are payable through Blackbaud Tuition. Books, school uniform, school supplies, and fees are not included.

Financial Assistance

Holy Names High School is proud to offer a number of scholarships and financial aid opportunities to deserving young women seeking a top-tier education and looking to make a positive impact on society. Over 35% of Holy Names students receive merit scholarships and additional support of qualified students is made possible through the generosity of HNHS families, alumnae, and outside donors. Our community provides some form of financial assistance to more than 65% of our student population.

Families who would like to be considered for the Family Aid-Catholic Education (FACE) grant must apply through FACTS. Select Holy Names High School and check the box for Family Aid Catholic Education (FACE) under organizations. This is required for all new applicants and current FACE recipients. Applying for financial aid is an annual process.

Merit Scholarships

President’s Award for Academic Excellence

The Holy Names President’s Award recognizes students applying to 9th grade with a strong academic record, exceptional HSPT scores, and strength of character. Recipients are awarded $20,000 over four (4) years, $5,000 per year. The award is renewable with a maintained 3.3 or higher grade point average.

Principal’s Noblesse Oblige Award for Outstanding Service

The Principal’s Noblesse Oblige Award recognizes students applying to 9th grade who are committed to academic excellence and community service. Recipients are awarded $8,000 over four (4) years, $2,000 per year. The award is renewable with a maintained 3.0 or higher grade point average and active community service.

World Changer Scholarships

STEAM Awards

Students who demonstrate a strong interest in an area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math are eligible to apply for a STEAM award, up to $2,500. The award is renewable with a maintained 3.0 or higher grade point average and demonstrate continued interest in the field.

Sue M. Rosso ‘54 Leadership Award

The Sue M. Rosso ‘54 Leadership Award recognizes students with strong leadership potential. This award is granted to an incoming 9th grade-student, up to $5,000. The award is renewable with a maintained 3.0 or higher grade point average and an active leadership role.

Mona L. McDaniel ‘34 Scholarship and Women in Medicine Program

10th - 12th grade students participating in the Women in Medicine Program are encouraged to apply for funding their financial aid with an award from the Mona L. McDaniel ‘34 Scholarship fund. Applicants with an interest in pursuing a career in the field of medicine are welcome to apply. The scholarship renewal requires a maintained 3.0 or higher grade point average and continued participation in the Women in Medicine Program.

Achieve Program

Achieve is a year-round, four-year high school scholarship and academic enrichment program providing scholarships for underserved students from low-income families. Achieve provides students with extensive academic support, mentoring, summer internships and cultural and community service activities. By providing quality educational and extensive individual support, Achieve increases the options and opportunities for all its students. Students selected for the program must demonstrate academic excellence and be highly motivated. Mentoring, tutoring, cultural excursions, summer internships, community service programs, and extensive college counseling are some of the services provided. Bay Scholars

Bay Scholars exists to make it possible for promising under-resourced scholars across the Bay to have access to and flourish at successful private college preparatory high schools. They seek out young scholars who shine academically, engage actively in society and demonstrate outstanding promise and a willingness to give back to their communities.

Bay Scholars understands that many Bay Area families face complex challenges to give their children a college prep high school education. It is essential that Bay Scholars possess an internal passion and have the unconditional support of their families, teachers and administrators. The Bay Scholars team is now equipped to actively accompany our scholars from freshman through senior year. We will meet with our scholars and their families on a regular basis throughout the school year.
