In religious studies courses students explore the themes and major characters revealed in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures, apply Christian values to moral issues and dilemmas, and analyze current examples of injustice in the light of the Gospels and Christian social principles. Many courses study the influence of Christian women's evolving spirituality and the related roles women have held in the history of the Church. Students also learn various forms of prayer and practice them in the role of prayer leader in classes and liturgical events in the school community. |
The ability to do Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry, like any new skill, requires practice. Holy Names math classes are set up to allow students to learn from lectures, class work, homework, individual and group activities, quizzes and tests. Additional peer and teacher assistance is also readily available. Although skills may not be mastered when they are first presented, repeated and varied exposure to the new concepts lead to successful learning. |
