Spiritual Life
The spiritual life of the Holy Names community is animated in everything we do. From school prayer services and retreats to the stage and the painting canvas, in the classroom and on the athletic field, we celebrate the presence and activity of God.
Two departments in particular—Campus Ministry and the Religious Studies Department—are charged with fostering the spiritual life of the school in their programs and curriculum.
Holy Names High School Campus Ministry sponsors and supports programs that enhance the full development of each member of the Holy Names community--students, staff, parents, and faculty-- by providing opportunities for reflection, retreat, service and prayer.
During four years of religious studies in the classroom, students clarify their own religious convictions, deepen their understanding of the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith, form strong values, and develop their personal spirituality.
As a school sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names, we strive to foster the full development of each person through education, social justice, contemplation, and the arts. |
