  PreAlgebra
The ability to do Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry, like any new skill, requires practice. Holy Names math classes are set up to allow students to learn from lectures, class work, homework, individual and group activities, quizzes and tests. Additional peer and teacher assistance is also readily available. Although skills may not be mastered when they are first presented, repeated and varied exposure to the new concepts lead to successful learning.

Graduation requirement: three years of mathematics.

All courses, except Pre-Algebra are certified as meeting the requirements for admission to the University of California and California State University systems. Completion of Intermediate Algebra or Advanced Algebra/Trig is required for admission to these two California university systems.
