 Technology Coordinator
Technology is now pervasive throughout every strand of the fabric we know as arts, culture, science and industry. Each profession that a Holy Names High School graduate might choose to pursue has been impacted by technology in some way. The Computers / Applications class is designed to help build the skills that enable active participation in this 21st Century society by requiring students to research, organize and present information using the computer.
ESLRs

1.   A Holy Names High School graduate is comfortable with technology and chooses the most appropriate application for a particular project.

2.   A Holy Names High School graduate is skilled in evaluating the validy of internet resources and will know how to cite them properly.

3.   A Holy Names High School graduate understands privacy issues and practices safe and appropriate use of technology.

4.   A Holy Names High School graduate collaborates with others and works cooperatively to achieve her goals.

5.   A Holy Names High School graduate is capable of artistic expression through the creation of works of art and other multimedia projects.

Student Personal Laptop Program

Follow this procedure in order to bring a student laptop on campus for use during the school day:

  1. Print the agreement
  2. Read and sign the agreement
  3. Make sure you have a current antivirus subscription
  4. Get a study hall pass from Mr. Hall to register your computer during study hall (only on September 27, October 13 or October 20) OR make an appointment with Mr. Hall for break or lunch.
  5. Bring your computer to Rm. 320 at the arranged time to get it registered
  6. Get aproval from your teacher to use the computer during class
